Four Point Contact Ball Slewing Bearings

Four-point contact ball slewing bearing is a different type of bearing. It can also be said that it is an angular contact ball bearing that can handle the biaxial axial load. Four-point contact ball slewing bearing mainly consists of an inner ring, an outer ring, a row of steel balls, and a cage (or spacer). The inner and outer ring raceways are peach-shaped cross-sections. When there is no load or pure radial load, the steel ball and the ferrule appear as four-point contact, which is the origin of this name.

Features of Four-point Contact Ball Slewing Bearing

• Four-point contact ball slewing bearing requires a minimum amount of space and can carry either pure axial or combined loading.
• Four-point contact ball slewing bearing can be separated, i.e., the outer ring with ball and cage assembly can be mounted separately from the two inner ring halves. The split inner circle leads to easier mounting and dismounting of the bearing.
• Many balls are incorporated, giving the bearing its high load-carrying capacity.

• Aerial platform vehicles
