角接触球轴承s is a ball bearing with raceways in the inner and outer rings that are displaced relative to each other in the direction of the bearing axis. This means that these bearings are designed to withstand combined loads, that is, radial and axial loads acting simultaneously.

Angular contact ball bearings’ axial load carrying capacity increases as the contact angle increases. The contact angle is defined as the angle between the line connecting the ball’s contact point and the raceway in the radial plane (the line perpendicular to the bearing shaft). The combined load is transmitted from one raceway to the other along the radial line.
