The distance between pin centers is called the pitch. The pitch is what categorizes the size of the chain. The larger the pitch, the higher the load rating. Chains with small pitches carry smaller loads, operate more quietly, and at higher speeds. It is supplied as 10ft boxes including 1 connecting link (master link) per box.The 32B-1 simplex chain is manufactured in accordance with replacement of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) R606 so all 32B chains interchange with each other. The good part about this is no sprocket replacements are needed if not necessary. Many people also know this class of chain as a “British Standard” (hence the B behind 32) or a metric series roller chain.
