Alignment Needle Roller Bearings

Alignment needle roller bearings have an outer ring with a sphered (convex) outside surface. Two polymer seating rings with a sphered (concave) inside surface are encased in a drawn sheet steel sleeve and fitted over the outer ring. The alignment needle roller bearings structure allows any eventual shaft deflection to be absorbed, up to a maximum of 2°/3°. The main feature of alignment needle roller bearings is the self-aligning outer ring, thanks to a series of plastic support rings inserted between it and the drawn cup.

Types of Alignment needle roller bearings

We supply alignment needle roller bearings with or without an inner ring. We provide RPNA and PNA Series alignment needle roller bearings.

Bearings with an inner ring

• should be used in applications where the shaft cannot be hardened and ground.
• Have limited permissible axial displacement of the shaft relative to the housing, which can be extended, if needed, by using a wide inner ring (Needle roller bearing components – Inner rings).

Bearings without an inner ring

• are excellent for compact bearing arrangements if the shaft can be hardened and ground.
